Poland has reacted to Russia's threats of new strikes on Kyiv, stating that it will consider any attack on Polish diplomatic missions as "deliberate and intentional," the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on May 25, UNN reports.

"In response to the statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, which calls on foreigners, including diplomats, to immediately leave Kyiv due to plans to attack military targets and 'decision-making centers,' the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland declares that it continues to view all attacks on Ukraine, including civilian objects and the population, as acts of unjustified aggression leading to mass casualties and infrastructure destruction," the Polish MFA statement reads.
Since Russia, as it claims, is not waging a war but conducting a so-called "special military operation" that should be limited to military targets, any attacks on other infrastructure, including diplomatic missions, should be considered hostile acts. As the Polish MFA pointed out, "the actions of the Russian Federation have serious international legal consequences, further undermining its role as a permanent member of the UN Security Council." "We call on Russia to immediately cease its unjustified and illegal aggression and to adhere to its international obligations and treaties," the statement said.
