Kyiv • UNN

Lithuania does not own any Patriot systems, but there will be one battery that will be deployed in Lithuania for training temporarily. This was stated during a press conference by Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, an UNN correspondent reports.
"There are no Patriot systems in Lithuania. Recently, we had an agreement with the Netherlands that one battery will be deployed to Lithuania for training this summer and that it will be temporarily located. This was achieved by implementing the principle of rotation in air defense, which was adopted at the Vilnius Summit last year. We have been transferring NASAMS systems to Ukraine. We cooperated with Norway on this issue. We are ready to transfer everything we have," Nausėda said, answering the question whether Lithuania could transfer Patriot systems to Ukraine.
