Israel has provided the UAE with Spectro systems and the Iron Beam laser for protection against Iranian attacks. This marks the first instance of large-scale defense cooperation between the two countries.

Israel has sent sophisticated weapons systems to the United Arab Emirates, including an advanced laser, to help protect the Gulf monarchy from a fierce onslaught of Iranian missiles and drones, the Financial Times reports, according to UNN.

The deployment became one of the first examples of major defense cooperation between the two states, which had no formal diplomatic relations until the 2020 Abraham Accords brokered by US President Donald Trump, and demonstrated the "value of friendship with Israel," a regional official said.
According to two sources familiar with the situation, Israel urgently transferred a lightweight surveillance system called Spectro to the UAE, which helped detect drones, particularly Shaheds, at a distance of up to 20 km.
According to one source familiar with the deployment and another knowledgeable about the preparations for the system's operation, Israel also sent a version of its Iron Beam laser defense system.
The laser, which vaporizes short-range missiles and drones, was first deployed by Israel earlier this year to protect against Hezbollah projectiles launched from Lebanon.
