IRIS-T air defense systems, drones and ammunition: Germany allocates new aid to Ukraine

Germany has handed over a new batch of military equipment and supplies to Ukraine. The transfer includes the IRIS-T air defense system, drones, ammunition, armored vehicles and small arms.
On Monday, August 19, Germany updated the list of military aid transferred to Ukraine. According to the document, Kyiv received an air defense system, drones and ammunition. This was reported by UNN with reference to the German government .

Thus, according to the updated list, the Defense Forces were granted:
- 1 IRIS-T SLS anti-aircraft missile system (total: 3);
- 14,000 rounds of 155 mm ammunition (from Bundeswehr and industry stocks) (total: 180,000);
- 10 surface UAVs (total: 40);
- 26 Vector reconnaissance UAVs with spare parts (total: 288);
- materials for the disposal of explosive ordnance (from Bundeswehr and industrial stocks);
- 6 highly mobile engineering excavators;
- 1 BREM Bergepanzer 2 with spare parts (total: 22);
- 55,000 first aid kits (total: 655,000);
- 700 MK 556 assault rifles (total: 2,425);
- 10 HLR 338 sniper rifles;
- 50 HAENEL CR 308 rifles (total: 331

The Bundeswehr Major General announced plans to transfer IRIS-T systems, PzH-2000 and Zuzana 2 self-propelled artillery systems, Leopard 1A5 tanks and other weapons to Ukraine by the end of 2024. Germany will also provide small arms, ammunition, and medical aid.
