It is noted that Tehran's absence from the talks is due to "Washington's excessive demands, unrealistic expectations, constant changes in positions, repeated contradictions, and the ongoing naval blockade."
The publication indicates that this news came after US President Donald Trump announced a new round of negotiations. At the same time, US Vice President J.D. Vance was among the delegation that was supposed to arrive in Pakistan on Monday.
The two-week ceasefire agreement between the US and Iran is set to expire on Wednesday. Although the truce has largely been observed, tensions have escalated in recent days after Iran reversed its decision to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, stating that the US blockade of its ports violated the ceasefire.
