In the Podilsk district of the Odesa region, a man attacked the personnel of a notification group, inflicting knife wounds on two servicemen; they are in serious condition. This was reported by the Odesa Regional Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TCC), according to UNN.
On May 10, in the village of Baibuzivka of the Savran settlement community in the Podilsk district, a joint notification group together with representatives of the National Police stopped a citizen to check his military registration documents. Based on the results of the check, it was established that the individual was wanted for violating military registration rules,
While escorting the offender to the territorial recruitment center to process administrative materials, the citizen launched an armed attack on the notification group personnel. Using a cold weapon, the perpetrator inflicted numerous knife wounds on two servicemen.
Currently, both victims have been hospitalized in a medical facility in serious condition; doctors are fighting for their lives."
The TCC emphasized that this was a targeted attempted murder of the defenders of Ukraine who were performing a state task, and no circumstances can justify the commission of a particularly grave criminal offense against the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Law enforcement agencies have initiated urgent investigative actions regarding this fact. The leadership of the Odesa Regional TCC and SSC will insist on holding the guilty party accountable under the maximum sanctions of the law.
