In Odesa region, a Russian jet-powered Shahed-type drone struck the locomotive of passenger train No. 147 traveling on the Zhytomyr–Odesa route. The passengers and railway workers were evacuated in advance, and there were no casualties. This was reported by Oleksandr Pertсovsky, Chairman of the Board of Ukrzaliznytsia, according to UNN.

The monitoring team of Ukrzaliznytsia warned in advance of the threat of an attack. The train was urgently stopped on the section of track, after which the passengers, train crew and locomotive crew were evacuated.

The Odesa Regional Military Administration and the State Emergency Service joined efforts to eliminate the consequences of the attack and assist the passengers. Arrangements are currently being made to transport the passengers onward to Odesa.
