The Security Service of Ukraine detained an russian agent in Dnipro who organized a large-scale scheme of illegal verification of Starlink terminals for the needs of the russian occupiers. According to the investigation, he helped activate over 1000 satellite communication systems. This was reported by UNN with reference to the SBU.

According to the special service, the detainee turned out to be a native of the Luhansk region, who was recruited by russian special services through Telegram channels offering "easy money".

At the instruction of the curator, the man, according to the SBU, first registered one Starlink station in his name using the details provided to him. Later, he received a new task – to organize mass verification of satellite equipment.

"To carry out this task, the suspect decided to activate Starlink systems at postal operator branches using the data of proxy individuals," the SBU statement reads.

According to the investigation, in this way the agent verified over 1000 satellite communication terminals for the russian military.

SBU officers exposed and detained the suspect at his place of residence. During the search, law enforcement officers seized a mobile phone with evidence of cooperation with russian special services.

In addition, the SBU blocked all Starlink terminals that were illegally registered within this scheme.

Investigators notified the man of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (aiding the aggressor state). If proven guilty, he faces up to 12 years in prison.
