General Staff: 127 combat incidents per day, one third in the Pokrovsk sector

There were 127 combat engagements over the last day, 53 of them in the Pokrovsk sector. The enemy concentrated its efforts near Novooleksandrivka and Zhelanne, launching 63 air strikes and 1187 kamikaze attacks.
There were 127 combat engagements along the entire frontline yesterday. One third of them took place in the Pokrovsk sector. The enemy concentrated its efforts in the areas of Novooleksandrivka and Zhelanne. This is stated in the report of the General Staff as of 8:00 a.m. on August 2, UNN reports.
Yesterday, in total, the Russian aggressor launched five missiles (six rockets), 63 air strikes (including 61 combat aircraft) and 1187 kamikaze drone strikes at the positions of our troops and localities, fired 4,873 times at the positions of our troops and localities, 112 of which were from multiple rocket launchers.
Yesterday, the aviation and missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces struck four command centers, an air defense facility, a radar station and two areas of enemy concentration.
According to the General Staff, the situation is as follows:
In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy continued active operations, with a total of five combat engagements taking place. The fighting took place in the vicinity of Vovchansk and Tykhyne.
In the Kupyansk sector, the enemy attacked the positions of our units seven times. The invaders made their main efforts in the areas of Pishchane and Stelmakhivka.
In the Liman sector, our troops repelled six occupants' attacks near Makiivka and Torske.
In the Northern sector, Ukrainian Armed Forces also repelled 11 assaults near Ivanodaryivka, Verkhnekamianske, Spirne, Vyymka and Pereyizne.
In the Kramatorsk sector, our troops stopped six enemy attempts to break through our defenses in the areas of Chasovyi Yar, Klishchiyivka, Andriivka and towards Hryhorivka in Donetsk region.
In the Toretsk sector, with the support of aviation, the enemy carried out 24 attacks near the settlements of Pivnichne, Zalizne, Toretsk and Nyzhyk.
In the Pokrovske sector, our defenders repelled 53 assault and offensive attacks. The enemy concentrated its efforts in the areas of Novooleksandrivka and Zhelanne, where it conducted eight and 18 attacks, respectively. In addition, the occupiers' attempts to advance were stopped near Panteleymonivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Svyrydonivka, Novoselivka Persha, Yasnobrodivka and Kalynivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Kurakhove sector, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Paraskoviivka and Kostiantynivka, where the enemy tried to break through the defense of our troops seven times.
In the Vremivsk sector, the aggressor made two assaults on our positions near Vodiane, Donetsk region.
There were also two hostile attacks in the Orikhivske direction , in the direction of Mala Tokmachka.
In the Prydniprovskyi sector, our defenders severely stopped the occupiers' attempt to advance on the left bank of the Dnipro River.
The operational situation in the Volyn and Polissya sectors remained unchanged. No signs of the formation of offensive groups of invaders were detected.
On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy maintains a military presence, shells settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, and conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities.
"Our soldiers continue to inflict significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, exhausting the enemy along the entire combat line and in its rear," the General Staff said.
