"Breaking through the border of the Russian Federation": a state of emergency has been declared in the Kursk region

The governor of the Kursk region announced the introduction of a state of emergency due to the difficult situation in the border areas. This decision was made amid reports of a possible seizure of the town of Sudzha and a gas distribution station by the Ukrainian armed forces.
The governor of the Kursk region, Aleksey Smirnov, said that the operational situation in the border areas remains difficult in the region, and therefore a state of emergency is being introduced in the Kursk region on August 7, UNN reports.
"The operational situation in the Kursk region remains difficult in the border areas. To eliminate the consequences of the entry of hostile forces into the region, I have decided to introduce a state of emergency in the Kursk region starting August 7," Smirnov said.
He noted that he would coordinate the work of the forces of the unified state system of emergency prevention and response.

Russian z-bloggers and local publics claimthat the Ukrainian armed forces have captured one of the largest gas distribution stations in Europe in the town of Suzha, Kursk region, and that the town itself has been captured.
