Belarus has confirmed that Russian citizens who are prohibited from leaving due to military conscription will no longer be able to leave the territory of the so-called "Union State" through the Belarusian border. This was reported by BelSat, according to UNN.

As the publication notes, the relevant information was confirmed to journalists by the State Border Committee of Belarus.

"If the Russian Federation does not impose a travel ban and everything is in order with the documents, then they will be allowed out," the agency replied to a question about whether a Russian citizen who has received a summons can fly from Belarus to a third country.

Recently, for the first time, Belarusian border guards did not allow the departure of a Russian man who tried to fly from Minsk first to Tbilisi and then to Yerevan.

The man had previously received a summons requiring him to appear for a medical examination, and a travel ban appeared in Russia's electronic military registration registry.

Human rights activists suggest that Belarus and Russia have begun exchanging data from electronic registries of conscripts.

The State Border Committee of Belarus also stated that a common database exists.

"If a person is in the database of those restricted from leaving, they will not be allowed out. If they are not there, we will let them out," the agency reported.
