245 combat engagements occurred at the front on May 8 - General Staff of the AFU

Over the past day, 245 combat engagements took place at the front. The highest number of battles was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction - 37. This was reported by the General Staff of the AFU, according to UNN.

In total, 245 combat engagements were recorded over the past day. Yesterday, the enemy launched one missile strike using one missile and 23 air strikes, dropping 87 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it used 8,189 kamikaze drones and carried out 1,936 shellings of settlements and positions of our troops, including 10 from multiple launch rocket systems. Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces hit ten areas of concentration of enemy manpower, one command post, two cannons, and one enemy logistics warehouse

In the Pivnichno-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the aggressor carried out 35 shellings of our troops' positions and settlements over the past day, including one using MLRS. 10 enemy assault actions were recorded.

In the Pivdenno-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our units 15 times in the areas of Prylypka, Vovchansk, Lyman, Starytsia, and towards Izbytske, Chaikivka, and Ternova.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy carried out one attack towards Radkivka.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy tried to wedge into our defense eight times, attacking towards the settlements of Drobysheve, Zarichne, Stavky, Yampil, and Lyman.

In the Sloviansk direction, the Defense Forces successfully repelled two attempts by the invaders to advance towards the settlements of Rai-Oleksandrivka and Kalenyky.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy carried out one attack in the direction of Tykhonivka.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 21 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, Rusyn Yar, Novopavlivka, Toretske, and Sofiivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 37 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Bilytske, Muravka, Zatyshok, Ivanivka, Dorozhnie, Rodynske, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novopidhorodne, and in the direction of Serhiivka and Novopavlivka.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked three times in the areas of Oleksandrohrad and Vorone.

In the Huiaipole direction, the occupiers carried out 22 attacks in the areas of Dobropillia, Zlahoda, Zaliznychne, Bahate, Olenokostiantynivka, and towards Nove Zaporizhzhia, Vozdvyzhivka, Staroukrainka, and Charivne.

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy carried out one offensive action in the area of Shcherbaky.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy conducted three attacks towards Antonivka.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
