A draft law on fines for music of the aggressor country in food establishments has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada. For the first violation, a fine of 8,500 to 17,000 hryvnias is proposed.

In Kyiv, a lyceum teacher was fined 3,400 hryvnias for showing a cartoon in Russian to first-graders. The violation was discovered after a complaint from a student's father, a war veteran.

The President has excluded the Russian and Moldovan languages from the list protected by the European Charter. The Czech language was added to the list, and the names of Jewish languages were clarified.

All medical institutions are obliged to provide services in the state language. Switching to another language is possible only by mutual agreement between the doctor and the patient.

On February 21, Ukraine celebrates International Mother Language Day, which is a reminder of cultural diversity and the right to preserve linguistic heritage. For Ukraine, it is also a day to protect the language in wartime conditions, as stated by the Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language, Olena Ivanovska.

The Ukrainian language will be added to the list of languages for correspondence with Santa Claus. Santa Claus's post office is initiating steps for its inclusion.

Olena Ivanovska appealed to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine with a proposal to increase administrative fines for violating the language law. She believes that the current amounts of penalties do not provide a preventive effect and do not stimulate the elimination of offenses.
