Melania Trump, née Knauss, was born on April 26, 1970, in Novo Mesto, SFR Yugoslavia (modern-day Slovenia). She began her career as a Slovenian fashion model, working in European fashion capitals before moving to New York City in 1996. She later became a successful entrepreneur and jewelry designer, launching her own collections. In 2005, she married American businessman and politician Donald Trump. She served twice as the First Lady of the United States, first from 2017 to 2021, and a second time from 2025.
