Warsaw reacted to Putin's statement about a possible division of Ukraine with Poland's involvement

Poland has officially rejected the statements of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin about alleged territorial claims against Ukraine. This is stated in a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, reports UNN.

The ministry rejected the latest "false and completely baseless" statements by Putin regarding the alleged imperial ambitions of neighboring states and a possible territorial division of Ukraine involving Poland.

The Polish MFA emphasized that such claims are disinformation and yet another attempt to sow enmity between Ukrainians and the countries that support Kyiv.

The Republic of Poland has not made, does not make, and has no intention of making any territorial claims against Ukraine

Poland fully recognizes, respects, and consistently supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.

Warsaw also noted that Moscow's claims about Poland's alleged plans to annex western regions of Ukraine are a primitive attempt at disinformation and a component of Russia's information war. According to the Polish side, the purpose of such statements is to incite conflicts among European peoples and to divert international attention from Russia's illegal military aggression against Ukraine.

Poland called on the Russian authorities to stop making territorial claims against its neighbors.

The Russian dictator stated that Ukraine will "sooner or later lose the western lands," which he called a "gift from the USSR." He also claimed that "the only guarantor of Ukraine's territorial integrity was precisely Russia."
