The Republican and Democratic vice presidential candidates J.D. Vance and Tim Walls have agreed to participate in a debate on CBS News on October 1. This was reported by UNN with reference to the TV channel's statement.

The channel is organizing the vice presidential debate in New York. The day before, CBS News offered the candidates four possible dates: September 17, September 24, October 1, and October 8.
Soon after, Walls agreed to the October 1 date. A little later, his opponent also wrote on social media that he was ready for the October 1 debate. The Republican also called on his Democratic counterpart to take part in a debate on CNN in September.
