According to US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, the United States plans to impose new sanctions on Iran in the coming days after the Iranian attack on Israel last weekend.
In the coming days, the United States will impose new sanctions on Iran, including its missile and drone programs, as well as new sanctions on organizations that support the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Iran's Ministry of Defense. We expect that our allies and partners will soon impose their own sanctions

In addition to the new sanctions, Sullivan also noted that the administration will work with the Department of Defense and U.S. Central Command to strengthen air and missile defense systems in the Middle East. This is done in order to reduce the effectiveness of Iranian missile systems and drones that pose a threat to the region.
