The U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution condemning Russia's illegal abduction of Ukrainian children and calling it an attempt to destroy the next generation of Ukraine.

The United States House of Representatives has supported a resolution on the abduction of Ukrainian children by Russia. This was announced in Telegram by the head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak, UNN reports .

The resolution states that the Russian government under the leadership of dictator Vladimir Putin is responsible for the illegal abduction of children from Ukraine. These actions are officially condemned in the strongest terms,

It also declares that the promotion of illegal adoption is contrary to Russia's obligations under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide. The terrorist country is trying to destroy a generation of Ukrainian children and undermine Ukraine's ability to raise the next generation of citizens, as well as the ability to rebuild the country after an unprovoked war aimed at destroying language, culture, history and identity.

It is stated that Russia's invasion of Ukraine has increased the risks that children may suffer from trafficking and exploitation, child labor, gender-based crimes, hunger, physical and mental trauma, deprivation of education and shelter, and death,

The UN Committee on the Rights of the Child called on Russia to stop the forced removal of Ukrainian children and return them to their families. the Russian authorities should provide information on the exact number of children taken from Ukraine and their whereabouts so that they can be identified and returned.
