The United States has announced a new security assistance package for Ukraine in the amount of up to $200 million under the program of special presidential powers. This was announced by the White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby, UNN reports with reference to the Voice of America.

According to media reports, the security assistance will include air defense equipment, HIMARS artillery ammunition, mortar shells, and Javelin anti-tank missiles.
The U.S. Department of Defense is also providing long-term support through the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative fund to strengthen air defense, long-range strike capabilities, and anti-tank capabilities.
