UN Secretary-General hopes for the success of diplomacy and the opening of the Strait of Hormuz. Trump is preparing a final decision regarding the previous agreement with Iran.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres "very much hopes" that diplomatic efforts aimed at extending the ceasefire in the Iranian war will "prevail." This was stated to journalists by UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric, UNN reports.
"We hope to see an end to this conflict," he said, "and we want to see the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz for free and unimpeded navigation."

Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met today with his American counterpart Marco Rubio, while US President Donald Trump signaled that he is moving toward a "final decision" on the preliminary agreement with Iran.
