Ukrzaliznytsia launches 2 new railway routes with the EU

Two new rail routes from Kyiv to the capitals of Hungary and Slovakia were launched. The new connections should relieve congestion on the Warsaw route and improve logistics links with the EU.
Today, the first train from Kyiv to Budapest and Bratislava started running. The new connections are intended to partially relieve the popular Warsaw route and expand logistics ties with European countries.
This was reported by Vice Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine - Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba, UNN reports.

Today, the first train #9/10 from Kyiv to Budapest, the capital of Hungary, a major rail and aviation hub, departed.
A route from Kyiv to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, has also been launched, provided by train No. 27/28 Kyiv - Chop - Kyiv and a new train of the Slovak Railways No. 617/961 Chop - Bratislava - Chop.
Both routes will partially relieve the extremely popular Warsaw route. We have many plans to expand our logistics network with European countries, in particular Romania and Poland

Earlier, UNN reported that on December 15 , a new railway route Kyiv-Budapest with compartment and luxury cars will start. Tickets are already on sale, starting at 2800 UAH, and the train will provide convenient connections to other European cities.
