Ukraine and Germany have officially launched the Radio-Electronic Warfare Coalition within the framework of "Ramstein". The initiative, which was joined by 11 states, will focus on the purchase of equipment and training of specialists.

Within the framework of the Contact Group on Defense "Ramstein" meeting, Ukraine and Germany officially announced the launch of a new Coalition of Electronic Warfare. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, reports UNN with reference to Ministry of Defense in Telegram.
Details
This is the ninth coalition created within the Ramstein format. 11 states, including Ukraine, have joined the initiative and signed a joint Letter of Intent
According to him, the new coalition is designed not only to meet the current needs of the Ukrainian army in electronic warfare equipment, but also to lay the foundation for the long-term development of these capabilities.
The EW Coalition will focus on:
- equipment procurement;
- training and preparation of specialists;
- development of policies and doctrines in the field of EW.
Addition
EW is a critical component of modern warfare. Without effective electronic protection, no unit can be fully combat-ready. The launch of the coalition will allow coordinating efforts and comprehensively responding to the needs of the Defense Forces.
Recall
Before the Ramstein meeting, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine would insist on receiving new air defense systems. He called on partners to step up supplies of Patriot to protect Ukrainian skies.
However, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that Germany cannot provide Ukraine with additional air defense systems, so allies are looking for them around the world.
