The Second Black Sea Security Conference, co-hosted by Ukraine and Bulgaria on April 15 in Sofia, aims to develop effective strategies to respond to existing challenges and ensure sustainable development for all peace-loving states in the region in the face of Russian aggression against Ukraine.
On April 15, the Bulgarian capital Sofia will host the second Black Sea Security Conference, which aims to develop effective strategies to respond to existing challenges and ensure sustainable development for all peace-loving states in the region. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, UNN reports.
"Russia's aggression against Ukraine has undermined the security of the Black Sea and Azov regions and the whole of Europe and the world. In order to develop effective strategies to respond to the existing challenges and ensure sustainable development for all peace-loving states in the region, Ukraine and Bulgaria will jointly hold the Second Black Sea Security Conference in Sofia on April 15," the Foreign Ministry said.
It is noted that the conference will be attended by delegations from 42 states and 8 international organizations, where participants will analyze the impact of Russian aggression on the security situation in the Black Sea-Azov region and beyond, discuss strategies for responding to existing threats and the future of regional security.
The conference will also discuss the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula.
On the eve of the conference, which will take place on April 14, discussions will be held to discuss:
Strategic Review of the Security Situation in the Black and Azov Seas: Prospects and Future;
The World in Global Change: Prospects for the Development of Global and Black Sea Security;
Russian practices of eliminating freedom of speech in the temporarily occupied Crimea;
war coverage: wartime journalism.
The conference itself will feature panel discussions on:
joint efforts to maintain stability in a complex geopolitical landscape;
Victory in the Battle of the Black Sea: Military Strategy for Ukraine;
Ensuring maritime stability: the role of international organizations in Black Sea security.

The first Black Sea Security Conference of the International Crimean Platform was held in Bucharest last April.
