A Su-24M bomber of the 7th Tactical Aviation Brigade crashed in the Khmelnytskyi region. Both pilots of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were killed.
A Su-24M front-line bomber of the 7th Tactical Aviation Brigade named after Petro Franko of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine crashed in the Khmelnytskyi region. The crew was killed, the Air Force of the AFU reported, UNN reports.
At approximately 7:00 PM on June 16, 2026, a crash occurred involving a Su-24M front-line bomber of the 7th Tactical Aviation Brigade named after Petro Franko of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Su-24M crew—a pilot and a navigator—was performing a mission in the Khmelnytskyi region. Unfortunately, both pilots were killed. It is noted that rescuers and law enforcement officers are working at the crash site. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties among the civilian population.

UNN, citing social media, reported that an explosion was heard in the Shepetivka district of the Khmelnytskyi region, with locals reporting the crash of a MiG-29. The Air Force and the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) have not yet commented on the incident.
