The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, discussed cooperation between the two countries in the defense sector and increasing joint production with his Belgian counterpart, Bart de Wever. This was reported by UNN with reference to Shmyhal's Telegram page.

The head of government added that one of the topics of the conversation was the implementation of the agreements reached the day before in Kyiv between the President of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of Belgium on cooperation between the defense companies of the two countries and increasing joint production.

Shmyhal also noted that the implementation of these initiatives lays the foundation for a long-term strategic partnership. It also opens up new opportunities for innovation, exchange of experience and integration of Ukraine into the European industry.

Particular attention during the meeting was focused on development in the field of healthcare. During our visit to Brussels, a number of documents were signed on strengthening and developing this sector. In particular, a technical agreement was concluded with the Federal Public Service for Health of the Kingdom of Belgium

Belgium also receives Ukrainians for treatment and rehabilitation under the MEDEVAC program. During the visit of the Ukrainian government delegation to Brussels, the parties agreed to expand it.

The parties also outlined the key aspects of Ukraine's European integration aspirations, the results achieved on this path and further steps for their implementation.
