Colombian singer Shakira has cancelled her concert scheduled for April 2 at the Olympic Stadium in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic.
In a statement, local company SD Concerts announced: "We regret to inform our fans and visitors that Shakira's upcoming concert, originally scheduled for April 2, will have to be postponed due to operational problems beyond the artist's control."
The organisers cited "operational problems beyond the artist's control" as the reason.
Repeated concert cancellations
The artist promised that "Women Don't Cry Anymore" would be the biggest tour of her career. But the tour, which officially kicked off on February 11, 2025 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has faced a number of setbacks - Shakira has already had to cancel five concerts.
