SBU detains deserter in Kyiv who organized arson of military vehicles on FSB orders

The Security Service of Ukraine detained another FSB agent in Kyiv. On the orders of the Rashists, he organized arsons of Defense Forces vehicles in the capital of Ukraine. This was reported by UNN.

Details

As the investigation established, the perpetrator sought out potential perpetrators of sabotage, recruited them, and coordinated subversive activities. Thus, in March of this year, SBU officers caught two enemy agents "red-handed" who were supervised by this individual and who, on his instructions, were engaged in setting fire to cars in the Desnianskyi district of the capital.

The coordinator of the arsonists turned out to be a mobilized individual who went AWOL from service in the Kharkiv region and fled to the capital, where he began working for the enemy. He caught the attention of the Russian special service while looking for "quick money" on Telegram channels. After recruitment, he began involving local drug addicts in the work for the FSB, who agreed to commit contract arsons for the price of "a dose." Before the crime, they would clear a potential "target" with the resident agent, and after the arson, they sent him photos and videos of the fire. He then reported to the FSB handler via messenger,

- the report says.

It is noted that SBU officers documented the crimes of the agent group's resident and detained him at his place of residence in Kyiv. During searches, a smartphone with evidence of working for the FSB was seized from the detainee.

"SBU investigators served him a notice of suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations). The perpetrator is in custody. He faces up to 8 years in prison," the law enforcement officers added.
