SAPO seeks confiscation of 5 million UAH in assets from Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba
Kyiv • UNN
The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) is requesting the confiscation of Deputy Prime Minister Kuleba's assets worth 5 million hryvnias. The property was registered in the name of the official's sister without sufficient legal income.

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office has filed a lawsuit with the HACC for the confiscation of assets worth 5 million hryvnias involving the Vice Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine - Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, Oleksiy Kuleba. This was reported by the press service of the SAPO, according to UNN.
Details
Based on materials from the NABU, a SAPO prosecutor filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court to recognize as unsubstantiated and recover for the state assets worth nearly 5 million hryvnias, acquired by the Vice Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine - Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, Oleksiy Kuleba (position held at the time of the lawsuit), through his sister
It is noted that the lawsuit is motivated by the fact that in 2021, while serving as the First Deputy Head of the Kyiv City Administration, Kuleba, through his biological sister, entered into preliminary purchase and sale agreements for an apartment and a parking space in Kyiv.
In 2023, while serving as Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, the official ensured the conclusion of purchase and sale agreements for the specified objects, their state registration, as well as the conclusion of service agreements for the apartment and parking space, involving his driver in the process.
An analysis of the official income and expenses of Oleksiy Kuleba and his family established that they did not have sufficient legal income to acquire these assets. In view of the above, the prosecutor filed a lawsuit with the court to recognize the assets as unsubstantiated and to recover them for the state from the nominal owner, as the legality of their origin raises reasonable doubt
As a reminder
The High Anti-Corruption Court partially granted the lawsuit of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and ruled to recover for the state the assets of the former head of a department of the Strategic Investigations Directorate in Kyiv of the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police of Ukraine.
