Russian propaganda continues to spread manipulations regarding the fall of a Russian missile on Polish territory — CPD

Social media users are spreading fake news and manipulations surrounding the crash of a missile on Polish territory. In particular, videos generated by artificial intelligence are being used in an attempt to shift responsibility for the incident onto Ukraine. This was reported by the National Security and Defense Council’s Center for Countering Disinformation, UNN writes.

Videos in Polish generated using artificial intelligence systems are spreading on TikTok. Disguised as humorous content, they disseminate disinformation and manipulations surrounding the missile incident

- the statement reads.

In particular, viewers are being urged to believe that the missile that fell on Polish territory was Ukrainian, "disguised" as a Russian one, and that responsibility for the incident allegedly lies with the Ukrainian side, among other claims.

Such information operations are an attempt by ru-propaganda to influence public opinion in Poland, impose a distorted version of events on Poles, and provoke tensions in Ukrainian-Polish relations

- the CCD emphasized.
