Russia jammed the GPS signal of a Royal Air Force aircraft carrying Defense Secretary John Healey while it was flying near the Russian border. The incident occurred on May 21 as the government plane was returning to Britain following the Secretary's visit to Estonia. This was reported by the BBC, according to UNN.

During the three-hour flight, the aircraft's navigation system ceased to function due to interference with the GPS signal. Pilots were forced to switch to backup navigation systems to continue the flight. The British Ministry of Defense has not yet officially commented on the situation.
The incident occurred following NATO exercises near the Russian border
John Healey was in Estonia meeting with British military personnel participating in NATO exercises near the Russian border. Journalists note that the government aircraft's route could be easily tracked via open flight monitoring services; however, it remains unknown whether the aircraft was a target of intentional interference.
This is not the first such incident in the region. Last month, a Russian Su-35 fighter jet performed a dangerous intercept of a British Rivet Joint reconnaissance aircraft, causing onboard emergency systems to trigger and the autopilot to automatically disconnect.
