Against the backdrop of statements that the European Union is preparing for potential negotiations with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, the Kremlin stated that the Russian Federation is ready for dialogue with Europe but will not initiate it itself. This was stated by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, as reported by Russian "media," according to UNN.

"We will be ready to move forward in our dialogue as far as the Europeans are ready. However, as Putin has repeatedly noted, given the position taken by the Europeans, we will not initiate such contacts ourselves,"
