Russia is preparing additional mobilization of tens of thousands for the front - Zelenskyy

Ukraine is receiving more and more internal Russian information regarding the preparation of additional mobilization in the RF, aimed at compensating for the particularly high losses of the Russian army in the occupied territory of Ukraine. Russia's leadership has set a task to increase the occupation contingent. We are talking about at least tens of thousands more. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, UNN reports.

A detailed meeting regarding our defense. I am grateful to all units that are firmly holding positions in key areas of the front and are defending actively. Commander-in-Chief of the AFU Oleksandr Syrskyi and Chief of the General Staff Andriy Hnatov reported on the situation and options for our actions in the Kharkiv region – primarily the Kupyansk direction – as well as in the Donetsk region, the Zaporizhzhia direction, and the south of Ukraine in general. I want to especially note today the 79th Separate Air Assault Tavriia Brigade, the 1st Assault Regiment, and the 425th Separate Assault Regiment for the results achieved 

Also, according to him, there was a report on the application of long-range sanctions – in particular, regarding Russian oil industry facilities located in Tuapse and other Russian regions.

We are receiving more and more internal Russian information about the preparation of additional mobilization in the aggressor country. Primarily, this is intended to compensate for the particularly high losses of the Russian army in the occupied territory of Ukraine. Russia's political leadership has set a task to increase the occupation contingent. We are talking about at least tens of thousands more. We also have data regarding a further increase in mobilization – it is for this purpose that the Russian authorities have intensified the issuance of so-called mobilization orders 

He noted that Ukraine considers these Russian steps as confirmation that Moscow is not preparing for genuine diplomacy. 

And we will pass the data we have to our partners. Russia must end its war, and the world has levers of influence. We are working at all levels to protect Ukraine and push Russia toward diplomacy

Zelenskyy previously stated after a meeting of the Staff that the RF is preparing new mobilization steps – up to 100,000 people. Ukraine, meanwhile, is preparing to expand the geography of our long-range sanctions.
