Russia launched a ballistic missile and 206 drones at Ukraine overnight, 172 of which were shot down or suppressed, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Thursday, UNN writes.

According to the AFU Air Force, on the night of April 30 (from 18:00 on April 29), the enemy attacked with an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Rostov region - RF, and 206 strike UAVs of the Shahed type (including jet-powered ones), Gerbera, Italmas, and drones of other types from the directions of: Kursk, Bryansk, Shatalovo, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – RF, and occupied Gvardiyske – occupied Crimea; more than 140 of them were "Shaheds."
The aerial attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defense shot down/suppressed 172 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types, as well as drones of other types in the north, south, west, and east of the country. Hits from the ballistic missile and 32 strike UAVs were recorded at 22 locations, and the fall of downed drones (debris) was recorded at 9 locations
The attack is ongoing; several enemy UAVs remain in the airspace.
