Details

According to the decree published on the Kremlin's website, individuals who have signed a contract with the Russian army since May 1 are exempt from paying debts of up to 10 million rubles, or nearly $139,700. A debt collection lawsuit must have been filed prior to this date.

Family members of individuals who signed a contract starting May 1 are also eligible for debt relief.

At the same time, the contract must be signed for at least one year, the Kremlin noted.
