On the night of August 9, 2024, Ukraine shot down 27 Russian 'Shahed' attack drones. The attack was carried out from the Prymorsko-Akhtarsk area, and the drones were destroyed in seven regions of Ukraine.
On the night of August 9 , Ukraine shot down all 27 Russian Shahed attack drones. The drones were destroyed in seven regions of Ukraine, said Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, UNN reports.

According to Oleshchuk, on the night of August 9, 2024, the Russian occupiers attacked with Shahed UAVs from the Primorsko-Akhtarsk area.
The Air Force's radio engineering troops detected and tracked 27 attack drones. As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, all enemy UAVs were shot down by mobile firing groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, anti-aircraft missile units and electronic warfare assets of the Air Force in Kyiv, Poltava, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Donetsk and Dnipro regions.
