NBU set currency exchange rates for December 17: dollar fell by 6 kopecks

The National Bank of Ukraine set the official exchange rates for December 17, according to which the US dollar fell by 6 kopecks, to 42.18 hryvnias. The euro and zloty exchange rates remained unchanged.
The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official exchange rates for Wednesday, December 17. Compared to the previous day, the value of the US dollar decreased by 6 kopecks and stands at 42.18 hryvnias. The euro and zloty rates remained unchanged. This is reported by UNN with reference to NBU data.
Details
The official dollar exchange rate is: 42.1848 UAH per dollar. The NBU also set the official euro to hryvnia exchange rate at: 49.6684 UAH per 1 euro. The official zloty exchange rate is: 11.7687 UAH per 1 zloty.
According to data from specialized websites, as of 08:00 on Wednesday:
- in banks, the dollar is traded at 42.00-42.42 UAH, the euro at 49.30-49.90 UAH, and the zloty at 11.50-12.05 UAH;
- on the interbank market, the rates are 42.28-42.31 UAH/dollar and 49.89-49.91 UAH/euro.

This year, the price of silver increased by 100%, outperforming gold, due to supply shortages and high industrial demand. Metal reserves are close to a historic low, exacerbating the risk of scarcity.
