Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenka stated that the end of Russia's war against Ukraine depends on the position of Donald Trump and the USA. He emphasized that Trump is ready to act as a guarantor of a peace agreement that will provide guarantees for Russia.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenka is convinced that the end of Russia's war against Ukraine "depends on the position of Trump and the United States." He stated this in an interview with Newsmax, as reported by UNN.
Now a lot depends on the position of Trump and the United States of America. The main thing is that Trump does not back down from this position. He is a man of character, sometimes impulsive. So that he doesn't spit on all this, wave his hand and walk away. If he persistently moves in this direction, then there will be a result. Europeans have nothing to make noise about here.
Answering the question: "How can Zelenskyy and Putin achieve peace?" – Lukashenka noted: "I think that the situation that is developing... will push them to make this peace happen."
According to him, in case of escalation, it "will not be good" for Russia, as "even more people" will be drawn into the war.
Lukashenka noted that any war ends in peace and expressed the opinion that Ukraine could cease to exist if the situation does not change. He also said that he is aware of the guarantees that Russia seeks.
There must be guarantees. Russia wants guarantees that this will be forever. I know this. Russia wants to conclude such a peace treaty so that war never starts again. Ukraine is also interested in this. Trump is ready to act as a guarantor of this. Everything is there. Therefore, we need to speed up.
He also believes that Trump is largely pressuring Zelenskyy regarding a "peace agreement."
"Because the Europeans got involved in this, and they whisper in his ear that they will help Zelenskyy fight. They won't help at all. They don't have the resources that the United States of America has. And if the Americans back away from this, escalation cannot be avoided. And then Macron, Merz, and Starmer will realize their mistake," Lukashenka summarized.
