Details
The head of the Ministry of Environment visited the park, talked to its employees and inspected a number of facilities.
According to him, the Mezhyhiria team is setting up operations and recruiting staff. Employees who have been taking care of the park on a volunteer basis for years are actively seeking employment at the park.
In July, the institution hired 40 people. In total, the park employs 111 people.
Strelets spoke about the first results of Mezhyhirya's work for the state:
We are changing the philosophy of the park's development. The former government residence should become a European-level park. We plan to turn it not just into an arboretum like Sofiyivka, but to make it the most favorite place for Kyiv residents and guests of Ukraine, like the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney or the world-famous Central Park in New York
Recall
UNN reported that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the transfer of Mezhyhirya to the management of a state institution. The government promised that all funds from Mezhyhirya's operations would be directed to the state budget and the Armed Forces.
On April 29, unidentified persons blocked the entrance to the Mezhyhirya State Park, preventing the interdepartmental commission from transferring the seized property of the park to state ownership.
