Pakistan, Turkey, and Egypt are trying to bring Washington and Tehran closer before April 21. The White House is considering military strikes in case the dialogue fails.

Pakistan, Turkey, and Egypt will continue mediation contacts between the US and Iran in the coming days, attempting to narrow the differences between the parties and return to direct negotiations before the ceasefire ends on April 21. This is reported by Axios, according to UNN.
According to the publication, Washington and Tehran did not stop the dialogue after the previous round of consultations, and all parties still consider it possible to reach agreements.
"The door is not closed," said a US official, commenting on the prospects for a new round of negotiations.
Axios notes that the last consultations between the US and Iranian delegations in Islamabad lasted 21 hours but ended without a final result. That is why regional mediators actively joined the process.
According to sources, the White House is also considering scenarios for pressuring Iran in case of diplomatic failure. In particular, Donald Trump may return to the option of military strikes if a naval blockade does not force Tehran to change its position.
It is separately noted that the US seeks to prevent Iran from using the Strait of Hormuz as a tool of pressure during negotiations.
The next few days could be decisive for the future of the truce and the prospects for a new agreement between Washington and Tehran.
