Israel denied entry to the West Bank to six Canadian parliamentarians due to alleged ties to a terrorist organization. The Canadian side protested and linked the incident to Canada's political decisions regarding Palestine.

The Israeli authorities have banned six Canadian parliamentarians from entering the West Bank, accusing them of ties to a "terrorist organization." This is reported by Le Figaro, according to UNN.

It is noted that the Canadian MPs were in Jordan and were heading to the West Bank as part of a 30-person delegation organized by the charity "Canadian Muslim Vote."
A statement from the Israeli embassy in Canada states that this organization receives funding from a branch of "International Islamic Relief," which Israel classifies as a terrorist organization. The organization denies any ties to Hamas, as claimed by Israel.

MP Kwan reported that the Canadian delegation had informed the Israeli side in advance about the trip, which included meetings with non-governmental organizations and representatives of Palestinian and Jewish civil society. Electronic entry permits were "pre-approved," but at the Allenby Bridge checkpoint on Tuesday, the entire delegation was denied entry.
Kwan suggested that the ban might be related to Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney's decision to recognize the State of Palestine during the UN General Assembly in September.
After the incident, the delegation returned to Amman. Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand stated that Ottawa officially protested to Israel regarding the improper treatment of Canadian citizens during their attempt to cross the border.
