The US State Department will begin issuing commemorative passports with a portrait of Donald Trump in August. Due to high demand, 250 thousand special documents will be released.
The U.S. State Department will begin issuing nationwide limited-edition commemorative passports featuring President Donald Trump, dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the United States, starting in August. This was reported by the Associated Press, writes UNN.

Previously, such passports could only be obtained at the passport office in Washington, but they will now become available at 27 passport agencies across the country.
According to the State Department, due to high demand, an additional 250,000 special documents, called the "Patriot Passport," will be issued. The inside page of the passport features a portrait of Donald Trump, making him the first sitting U.S. president to be depicted on an American passport.
As AP notes, this is another instance of using Trump's name and image on official commemorative merchandise. Previously, his portrait appeared on a commemorative coin for the 250th anniversary of the United States, and work is also underway to place his signature on new paper banknotes.
The first special events for processing such passports will take place starting August 8 at passport agencies in several cities, including New York, Chicago, Dallas, and Detroit, after which the program will be expanded to other regions of the country.
