In the Kyiv region, law enforcement officers have launched a pre-trial investigation into the pollution of water bodies in Bucha district, UNN reports.

Police received a report about the pollution of water bodies and the death of fish in the village of Petropavlivska Borshchahivka.
During an inspection of the scene, law enforcement officers discovered dead fish on the shore and in the body of water. Specialists collected water samples for the relevant analyses.Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
Investigators opened criminal proceedings over a violation of water protection regulations (Part 1 of Article 242 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
