In the Romanian city of Galați, a drone crashed into a residential building, followed by an explosion and a fire in a tenth-floor apartment. This was reported by local emergency services, according to UNN.

The incident occurred on the evening of May 29. Rescuers, police, and other emergency services promptly arrived at the scene. Two people who were in the fire-engulfed apartment evacuated on their own before the rescuers arrived. Initially, it was reported that there were no casualties.
Subsequently, authorities clarified that two people sustained minor injuries and received medical assistance on-site. The fire was quickly extinguished. According to preliminary data, no other drones were detected in the area.
To investigate the circumstances of the incident, a specialized investigative team of explosives experts and forensic scientists was sent to Galați. Law enforcement officers are conducting an investigation and establishing the origin of the drone.
