General Staff: number of combat engagements increased, most intense in the Pokrovske and Lyman sectors

Over the last day, 65 combat engagements were registered. The most intense fighting was in the Pokrovske and Lyman sectors, where the enemy made 26 and 13 attacks respectively. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding back the onslaught and repelling most of the attacks.

The enemy attacked a number of localities in the Liman sector, and the Russian Federation continues to try to push the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Pokrovsk sector. The number of enemy attacks increased in other parts of the front, particularly in the Toretsk sector.

According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the number of combat engagements increased to 65. The situation is most intense in the Pokrovske and Lyman sectors.

The Pokrovsk sector witnessed the highest number of combat engagements. Since the beginning of the day, the occupants have made 26 attempts to push our defenders from their positions in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Kalynove, Novohrodivka, Hrodivka, Zhelanne, Orlivka and Mykolaivka. Defense forces are holding back the onslaught and have repelled half of the enemy's attacks, with thirteen battles still ongoing. The enemy is most active near Zhelanne and Kalynove. Oleksandropil and Mykolaivka were attacked by NARs from attack aircraft.

In the Liman sector, the enemy attacked in the areas of Makiivka, Nevske, Novosadove and in Serebryansky forest. Since the beginning of the day, there have been 13 combat engagements in this sector, and the battle near Makiivka is still ongoing. The situation is under control.

The General Staff reports that the number of enemy attacks in the Toretsk sector has increased to four. The enemy is trying to advance near the village of New York, where our defenders are repelling two attacks, and near Zalizne and Druzhba, where two assaults have already been repelled. The aggressor's aviation is actively working, in particular, the settlement of Toretsk was bombed, where the enemy dropped drones, and the occupiers also fired at Diliyivka with unguided aerial missiles.

In the Kramatorsk sector, militants carried out six assault attacks near Chasovyi Yar, Ivanivske and Klishchiyivka. Two firefights are ongoing.

The enemy continues to try to break through the defense of our troops in the Siverskyi sector, but is receiving a worthy rebuff from Ukrainian defenders. Thus, near Verkhnekamianske, Ivan-Daryivka and Vyymka, the occupants tried to push our units four times, and two clashes are currently ongoing.

In the Kurakhove sector, the enemy attacked our units once since the beginning of the day. He tried to advance near Kostiantynivka.

In the Vremivsk sector, one enemy assault towards Vodiane was repelled.

Other areas:

In the vicinity of Mala Tokmachka in the Orikhivsk sector, the occupants tried to advance twice unsuccessfully, but were fiercely repulsed. The enemy also used aircraft in Novoandriivka and Lobkove.

The occupier continues to use aviation  and artillery in the border areas of Sumy region. In particular, the areas of Zarichne, Seredina-Buda, Porozok, Wolfine, Kruzhok, Mykhailivske, and Mykhalchyna Sloboda came under artillery fire. The enemy fired at Oleksandrivka from multiple rocket launchers. He also conducted air strikes on Kiyanitsa, Yunakivka and Semeykine.

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian terrorists stormed the positions of our troops three times in the areas of Vovchansk and Tykhyne. The battle is still ongoing in Vovchansk.

The enemy attacked our positions in the Kupyansk sector three times. The attacks near Berestove and Pishchane were repelled by the Defense Forces.
