Now, a new cinematic Chanel commercial seems to have further fueled the rumors, as the actor showcases his spy skills in a video released on Friday.
In the promotional video, Jacob looks dapper in a black suit and tie as he becomes the target of a masked burglar attempting to steal Chanel's latest product.
It begins with the Hollywood star opening a safe to retrieve a bottle of Bleu De Chanel L’Exclusif, only for it to be swiftly snatched by a beautiful woman in a lace mask.
Jacob then begins to pursue the thief, and the pair demonstrate their acrobatic skills while playing a sensual game of cat and mouse to recover the perfume.
Fans rushed online when the ad was released, with many believing it was a "soft launch" for the announcement of Jacob as the new James Bond.
