Iran fired dozens of drones and missiles toward Israel, setting off air raid sirens across the country, while Israel shot down more than 100 drones in response to a previous Israeli strike that killed Iranian soldiers.
Air raid sirens are sounding in the south and north of Israel, in Jerusalem, in the Dead Sea and the Negev desert. This was reported by the IDF on Telegram, UNN reports.

Iran had previously announced the launch of dozens of unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles toward Israel. According to Israeli media, more than 100 drones were launched in total. The Israeli army began shooting them down over the territory of Syria and Jordan.
The Iranian attack was a response to an Israeli strike on the diplomatic quarter in Damascus, where the Iranian embassy complex is located. Two Iranian generals and five officers were killed. Western countries urged citizens not to visit the region.
