The United States reportedly shot down several Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles launched toward Israel.
U.S. air defense systems have destroyed several Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles launched by Israel, CNN sources said, UNN reports .

The channels do not specify where the UAV was intercepted. It is noted that the United States has "many capabilities" in the region beyond those in the Mediterranean and Red Seas.

Iran previously announced the launch of dozens of unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles toward Israel. According to Israeli media, more than 100 drones were launched in total. The Israeli army began shooting them down over the territory of Syria and Jordan.
The Iranian attack was a response to an Israeli strike on the diplomatic quarter in Damascus, where the Iranian embassy complex is located. Two Iranian generals and five officers were killed. Western countries urged citizens not to visit the region.
