In the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, the Big Five countries and Sweden will perform in full during the semi-finals. It was also announced that the voting windows will be extended and online voting will be available for non-participating countries.

The Swedish Public Television Authority (SVT) has announced a series of innovations at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö. This was reported by Eurovision, according to UNN.

Details

For the first time, the artists from the Big Five countries and the host Sweden will perform in full during the semifinals, not limited to short clips from rehearsals.

It has been agreed that the Big Five and Sweden will perform in the same semi-final, and the audience is promised three additional performances between the contestants' performances.

We believe that this change gives the Big 5 countries and the host country a fairer playing field in the Grand Final, as they now have the opportunity to perform "for real" on stage in the semi-finals. It's also a win for both the arena audience and the viewers at home, as they will be able to see all the performers competing this year live before the Grand Final

 - said the executive producer of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, Ebba Adielsson.

The extension of the voting window for the Grand Final was also announced.

Viewers at home will be able to cast their votes during the songs.

For fans in non-participating countries, online voting has been introduced in advance, allowing them to have almost 24 hours to choose their favorite artists before the live shows begin.
