From April 12 to 28, 2024, Ukraine will host the Czech-Ukrainian Theater Festival of Reciprocity, which will bring together artists from the Czech Republic and Ukraine to promote international dialogue and cooperation.

Our "Festival of Reciprocity" will not only bring artistic impressions, but will also provide a space for discussions on the topics of the performances, including reflection on today's world, life in war, the situation of refugees, crossing borders and finding a new home. The program will also include purely poetic performances and performances for children, so there will be more entertaining leisure time. The festival aims to be a joint meeting that can inspire further cooperation between artists from both countries. Given the number of Ukrainians in the Czech Republic and the intensity of the contacts that are emerging, our future will be joint for many years to come. For Czech artists, performing in front of Ukrainian audiences can be an experience that will bring a new perspective on the meaning of creativity itself

- said the main organizer and visionary of the event, theater director David Zelinka.

The festival will be held in Rivne (12-14 April), Zhytomyr (15-17 April), Chernihiv (19-21 April), Kyiv (22-24 April) and Ivano-Frankivsk (26-28 April), where the audience will be able to enjoy performances, workshops, concerts, photo exhibitions and film screenings by Czech and Ukrainian artists.
