Belgium and Spain will provide 1 billion euros in aid each this year. The funds will be directed to air defense, drones, F-16 aircraft, and artillery shells for the front.

Belgium is allocating €1 billion in defense aid to Ukraine this year. Spain is also providing €1 billion. This was announced by Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, UNN reports.

Fedorov held talks with Belgian Defense Minister Theo Francken and Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles. They synchronized key areas of cooperation — strengthening air defense, developing drone capabilities, and the "Czech initiative" to provide the front with long-range artillery.
Belgium is allocating €1 billion in defense aid to Ukraine this year. The country also confirmed its intention to transfer additional F-16 fighters to Ukraine and ensure the supply of spare parts for existing aircraft. This year, Spain is also providing €1 billion to support Ukraine. During the meeting, attention was paid to the development of cooperation between defense industries, particularly within the European SAFE mechanism. We are ready to offer a list of manufacturers who can establish cooperation with Spanish companies
For its part, according to Fedorov, Ukraine also offered the opportunity to test Spanish drones in combat conditions.

Thanks to win-win cooperation with partners, Ukraine continues to deter the enemy's advance on the ground and de-occupy territories, protect the sky and increase the effectiveness of intercepting missiles and drones, and also strengthen strikes on the Russian economy.
